Anything that’s too loud can damage your ears. I have also heard that the “earbuds” that go inside your ears are more damaging but I don’t know if that’s true or not. Just don’t be fooled into thinking that if you get something else, you can blast it on top volume for long periods of time with no consequences.

Personally, I would recommend Nuforce NE-7 or NE-8. Easily one of the best, if not the best in-ear headphones that you can buy for $150 or less. Both will definitely beat Shure SE110 and V-Moda Vibe for sound quality and they should isolate well. You can buy them on Amazon and other places as well – just use Google. Here is some info on them:

To summarize what I read from the reviews, NE-7 has more bass, while NE-8 has better detail and more accuracy in the midrange. Also, that website http://www.head-fi.org is the probably best place online to get information about headphones, speakers, and just about anything else related to audio.

ditch them both…go with Skull candy earbuds. i have em and love them. seriously they are so good. sound is great and they are 30$….dunno how much that is for you. but they are great. i would never go with anything else

i did ALOT of research and eventually bought the very economical sennheiser cx300’s and they’re fantastic ! I would strongly reccommend them – especially from somewhere like amazon:http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN… as there are fakes around!

amazon is good for looking at products before buying it because it get reviewed by other people. so look at the reviews by them.
i currently use the sony headphones which are supplied free when you buy a mp3 player.
if you look around, you probably can find some decent headphones for a cheaper price.
